The Louisville Curse

We've had some crazy things happen to us since we got here (see Dinosaur World post). But this takes the cake. Marlowe thought it would be funny to put Roland's potty seat on her head. That was until she couldn't get it off. Brian greased her head up with Vegetable Oil and after much pulling he got it off. Thank goodness I was at work when it happened.

Halloween 2008

Halloween in Louisville in serious business. Some of the decorated houses here rival the biggest Christmas decorations I've ever seen! Halloween night we went to a local assisted living home & and then hit a couple of houses in our neighborhood. The night before Halloween was the real treat though, we took the kids to walk the sidewalks of Hillcrest Avenue. They say they get over 2000 trick or treaters on Halloween night on this one road.

Huber's Family Farm

Last weekend we visited Huber's family Farm in Indiana. They had a petting area where you could feed the goats. We had to keep Marlowe from kissing all of them! We'll go back to pick out our pumpkin soon! (I don't know why some of these pics are sideways-sorry.)

The World's Biggest Halloween Party

Today we went to the Louisville Zoo for some early trick or treating.

Dinosaur World

Labor Day weekend we took a trip to Dinosaur World in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky. We walked along the trail and saw all sorts of life size (to scale) dinos. Then we went to see the dino-movie and that's where the fun stopped. Marlowe fell off the seat and split her eyelid open. It was our first official trip to the ER in Kentucky (note: only 1 day BEFORE my insurance kicked in)! Now Marlowe has a cool scar that she can tell people she got hunting dinosaurs.

Even after all that they still want to go back...
