Grandma & Grandpa's October 08 Visit

We had a great time during Grandma and Grandpa (or Memaw and Paw Paw to the kids) came to visit. We did all things Louisville and even got to visit Indiana! We had a fun weekend and were really sad when they had to go back to Georgia. This is Friday night dinner at Lynn's Paradise Cafe.
This is a "Paradise Hot Brown" It's turkey, toast, some kind of sauce, cheeses, bacon and taomato in a bowl. Grandpa and I ordered them. He ate all of his. Brian finished mine. This place is a must for anyone who visits us!
Saturday started with a visit to the Cathedral of the Assumption. One of the largest and oldest Catholic Churches in the US. These pictures don't do it justice. This was also the only time the entire day that the kids were quiet. It was odd how they just knew it was special to be in there.
Then it was off the the Louisville Slugger Museum where me, Roland and Grandpa hit a few balls. OK, I think Roland was the only one who actually hit anything. We ended our day going over the river to Indiana and had a wonderful lunch at Hubers.

The Louisville Curse

We've had some crazy things happen to us since we got here (see Dinosaur World post). But this takes the cake. Marlowe thought it would be funny to put Roland's potty seat on her head. That was until she couldn't get it off. Brian greased her head up with Vegetable Oil and after much pulling he got it off. Thank goodness I was at work when it happened.
